Windorah

Windorah is a small township in outback Queensland.


It is one of the remotest outback towns in south western Queensland.

It is one of them small quiet outback towns that don't see a lot of travellers and have some great character - both things good!

There is a museum next to the visitor information centre.

There is an outback shop and eatery.

And there is a pub, which is also the town's hotel. There is also a basic, council-run caravan park.

Outside the town are the famous red sand dunes that make the landscape looking great.

And there happens to be a lot of lizards around in the area, more than in other places, even in the outback.
