Torres Strait Islander flag
is blue,
green, black and white.
It has green and black stripes above and below the larger blue, in the
middle of which is a Torres Strait islanders' dancer's head dress and a
star, both in white.
The green represents the land. The blue represents the sea. The black
repesents the Torres Strait Islander people, and the white is a symbol
of peace.

The head dress is used in the traditional dance of Torres Strait
Islanders, and it is a symbol for them.
The star has five points - one
for each island group within the Torres Strait region.
