Things to See and Do in
Rockhampton is known for its beautiful historical buildings and many,
such as the Old Customs House, are found along Quay Street at the river
front. Further north are the Riverside Park and Pilbeam Theatre and Art
Gallery. A few blocks back are Archer Park Station and Steam Tram
Museum, and Walter Reid Cultural Centre. North of the river are Kershaw
of the city
centre are the famous Heritage Village and Dreamtime
Cultural Centre. South are the Botanic Gardens, Rockhampton Zoo and
Tropic of Capricorn Spire Monument. And east is Mount Archer with
cooler temperatures and great views over the city and the coast.

Morgan - a great historical mining town; Mt Hay - if you're more into
