Koalas are not very easy to spot in the wild. There are a few classic places where there are wild populations of them, like Kangaroo Island in South Australia, and Noosa National Park and Magnetic Island in Queensland. But you have to have some luck to spot them just anywhere, as they are usually deep in the forest, and they are quite well camouflaged as they lean against grey Eucalypt trunks.
