Jacaranda Tree

Jacaranda tree is a beautiful but introduced tree in Australia.

It is a lovely looking purple tree, and there is actually about 50 species of it.

It is native to Central and South America, and it has been introduced to Australia.

The tree grows 20-30 metres tall, and being wide, gives quite a good shade.

It tends to grow more in cooler areas in Australia, and not so much in the tropics, where it is replaced by poinciana. Both bloom during the Australian summer, from about October-November to January, and both are really beautiful.
