Horror night at "Southport Tourist Park" Gold Coast, Queensland

(New South Wales)

On the 16th of May 2014 we spent a night at the Southport Tourist Park.

They asked us to pay $135 before even seeing what we were getting for our money.

From the moment we entered the villa all we saw were ants, bugs and dirt on kitchen benches, floors, lounge suite, bathroom and toilet.

The closet doors were jammed and did not open at all.

When we complained to the manager, she gave us two bits of dirty old rags and said for us to clean the mess.

We had to put our things on the table and drape the clothes on chairs after cleaning them.

During the night we got bitten and in the morning we found bugs under the sheets.

The bites caused skin irritations for which we are now on medication after seeking medical attention.

While handing over the keys we brought all this to the attention of the receptionist who promised us she will speak to the management.

So far we have not received any reply.

Pictures are available.
