Heron Island Australia

Heron Island Australia is in Queensland.

Heron Island is a great place to discover the coral reef ecosystem at the Great Barrier Reef.

It's mostly national park, covered in pisonia trees and large flocks of birds called black noddies.

You can reach it by catching a boat from Gladstone on Capricorn Coast. It's not very close, it's about 70km boat ride, but it's a beautiful ride with blue waters and possibilities to see whales, dolphins, marine turtles, dugongs and other marine animals.
