It is the largest and most accessible of all Keppel Islands,
reached by regular ferries from Rosslyn Bay east of Rockhampton.
On the western side of the island there is a resort and other kinds of
accommodation, as well as day trippers facilities, food outlets,
watersports and short walking tracks to Monkey Beach and Long Beach.

Longer
walking tracks
go from Long Beach to the island's Lookout Point, Leeke's Beach, Clam
Bay, Butterfish Bay, Wreck Beach, and the longest one - a three hour
walk to Bald Rock Point in the eastern end of the island.
The
beaches
are beautiful, waters perfectly calm for snorkelling, and it takes
longer than a day to discover the whole island.
