Gladstone Australia

Gladstone Australia Travel Information

This town has a beautiful setting but is also in parts quite industrial, mainly because it is a very busy port exporting mining and agricultural products from central parts of Queensland.

For travellers, it is mostly known as gateway to the beautiful Heron Island.

On the river mouth, across the river from the boat harbour and the ferry terminal, is Auckland Point Lookout.

Further south, in the Old Town Hall is the town's Museum and Art Gallery. And even further south is the town's Botanical Gardens with walking tracks, native plants and some rainforest.
