There used to be days where there was time to discuss this back and forward - not anymore. Questions like, "this is our site - are you interested in doing link exchange?"; or even worse, "Are you interested in link exchange? Please get back to me and i will tell you more!" will very likely not be answered at all.
You don't have to have the link in place, but you have to have the plan ready and send us the link to the page where you plan to link to Gondwananet.
And, it's fair game. If you give us a link from your "Links" page, expect a link back from our "Links" page - not a content page. If you want a link from any of Gondwananet's content pages, you will have to give a link back to Gondwananet from a content page on your site.
And last but not least, your site will have to be either about Australia or travel. "Australia" includes Australian sites about basically anything - nature, culture, animals, travel, flights, accommodation, jobs, backpacker jobs, dining, nightlife, rental cars, booking sites, travel destinations within Australia, and even small businesses such as B&Bs, caravan parks, tour operators and alike, etc... - the list is actually just about endless.
We are a little fussier with world travel sites. We don't link to sites about other destinations in the world, such as travelling in South America etc.. But if you have a site about a way of travelling, such as family travel, honeymoon travel, backpacking, adventure travel, bushwalking, luxury travel and similar, we can do link exchange.
Don't let this list scare you! The point is that it has to be a site that is useful to the readers of Gondwananet - they are either after facts about Australia or travelling to and within Australia. If you have a site that you think is suitable, don't hesitate to contact us, we WANT to hear from you!

Why can You not advertise on this site?
* There is no such thing as FREE advertising. Please respect the amount of work that has gone into this website by not asking for free advertising space.
* This site, however, does not deal with advertisers at all, even the paid ones.
Why? Advertising is not an efficient way for me to earn money from this website - I can invest my time much better. Selling advertising space means to me that i will tie myself up with each one of my advertisers. I would need to track their expiration dates one by one, and the time it would take me to keep up with it all would not be worth the money that most advertisers offer. $50 a month may sound as a fair bit for you to pay, but I am not willing to tie myself up for that money - so we may as well call all advertising off this site).
Thanks for understanding me, I am working alone on a few websites and the time I invest on the all pays me better than dealing with advertisers - Sorry!
