Boulia
is one of the westernmost towns in Queensland.
Deep
in the outback
of Queensland, this small town is home for about
300 people.
Surrounded by some beautiful red soils, and mostly known
for Min Min lights.

While the mysterious Min
Min Lights
have been reported in a lot of places in western Queensland and New
South Wales, Boulia took the step to turn the phenomenon to tourist
dollars and built the Min
Min
Encounter where you can learn all about the lights. This
is also
the town's tourist information centre.

Another thing to see is the Stonehouse
Museum
- an old cottage with some old memorabilia, outback signs and even
dinosaur fossils. There are also some other cute old buildings such as
a tiny butchery, laundromat and the smallest RSL club I have ever seen.

There is the old pub, Australia Hotel, and there is also a caravan
park. And there is a lot of empty land around the town to camp in the
bush, in case you want to have a chance to see the lights.

Here's a map of the town. You can
double-click
anywhere on the map to zoom it in and see the places
closer. Drag the map to move around, and if you want to see the
satellite image with Google Earth, click on "Sat" in the top right hand
corner.
